Accessibility Statement

Everyone in Douglas County should be able to use this website — the same way everyone deserves a solid roof. Here's where we stand and how to tell us when we fall short.

Last updated: July 24, 2026

Mistletoe Construction LLC is committed to making mistletoeconstruction.com accessible to everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technologies.

Our target

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. That's the widely accepted standard for accessible websites, and it's the bar we hold ourselves to as we build and update this site.

Measures we take

  • Semantic HTML. Pages use proper headings, landmarks, lists, and labels so assistive technology can understand the structure, and every page includes a skip-to-content link.
  • Alt text. Images — including our project photos — carry descriptive alternative text.
  • Keyboard navigation. Menus, links, and forms are designed to be operable without a mouse.
  • Color contrast. Text and background colors are chosen to meet AA contrast ratios, on both light and dark sections.
  • Reduced motion. Decorative animations respect the "prefers reduced motion" setting in your operating system or browser.

Known limitations

We're honest about our roofs and we'll be honest here too: this is a small family business's website, and we haven't yet had a formal third-party accessibility audit. Some older project photos may have brief alt text, and some third-party content (like embedded maps or fonts) is outside our direct control. If you hit a barrier anywhere on the site, we want to know about it.

Feedback

If any part of this website is difficult to use with your assistive technology, or you need information from the site in another format, contact us and we'll get it to you another way — usually the same business day:

Our commitment to remediation

Accessibility isn't a checkbox — it's maintenance, like a roof. When an issue is reported or we find one ourselves, we prioritize fixing it and we retest the affected pages. We review accessibility whenever we add new pages or features, and this statement will be updated as our practices improve.
