Roofing for river-and-vineyard country
A roof in Umpqua has to hold up to both river damp and vineyard sun, so we build it to answer both. When we replace a roof here, we tear off completely to the deck — Douglas County doesn't allow shingle-over-shingle overlays — inspect the sheathing for moisture damage from years of moss and gutter overflow, and rebuild with synthetic underlayment, ice-and-water shield in the valleys and around penetrations, fresh flashing, and Owens Corning architectural shingles rated to hold up under both moisture and UV. On shaded riverside slopes we add zinc or copper strips and a maintenance rhythm to keep moss from returning.
Umpqua is also full of larger structures — tasting rooms, production buildings, barns, and shops — where metal roofing earns its keep by shedding debris and moss and lasting for decades. Whether it's the house or a winery building, we'll walk you through the honest trade-offs between asphalt and metal for your specific structure and budget.
🎁 Current Umpqua offer

A local roofer for the west valley
The Umpqua wine country's spread-out properties and larger buildings are exactly the kind of work we're built for. We're family-owned in Riddle, licensed as Oregon CCB #255729, an Owens Corning contractor serving Roseburg and all of Douglas County. If you've got moss you can't beat, a leak, or a winery building that needs a serious roof, we'll come look, photograph what we find, and give you the honest call between a repair and a full replacement. We serve nearby Roseburg, Sutherlin, and Oakland too.
