Two kinds of debris, one river town.

Myrtle Creek straddles the South Umpqua River where it comes down out of the hills, and that setting gives its gutters a split personality. Down along the river and through the older neighborhoods, bigleaf maples and cottonwoods dump broad, heavy leaves every fall. Up on the slopes of the Tri City area and the surrounding ridges, Douglas fir sheds fine needles all year.
